Key Contributors at the Indo-Pacific Workshop on Enforcement Against Trade in Counterfeit Goods

MarkScan’s digital IP experts were among the key contributors at the Indo-Pacific Workshop on Enforcement Against Trade in Counterfeit Goods, organized by the USPTO, FDA, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, EUIPO and the ASEAN Secretariat. The workshop was held at The Lancaster Bangkok Hotel, Thailand, from July 30 to August 2, with over 100 representatives from 17 countries as active participants.

During the four-day workshop, MarkScan’s Ruchi Dhoreliya and Deepak Baswan delivered compelling insights into distinguishing genuine products from counterfeits, supported by real-life case studies. They also highlighted the rise of digital counterfeiting in the cosmetics and skincare sector across e-commerce platforms, showcasing MarkScan’s robust strategies for curbing fake listings.

They shared the stage with industry experts such as Daniel Greif, April Miller, Vanessa Piepenburg, Dhara K. Ratanjee, Ashish Sawant, and Alice Yuen.

We look forward to engaging in more such events and continuing to gather valuable industry insights from these collaborations.
